Investigative Reporter/Fill-in Anchor   NBC Bay Bay Area, San Jose, Calif. 2020-Present

  • Lead national award-winning investigations, including a prestigious Peabody and Sigma Delta Chi Award for a 10-month long investigation examining systemic housing barriers single fathers face.

  • Lead regional award-winning projects, including Emmy and Murrow awards for investigating Bay Area police misconduct, school sexual assault and California’s housing crisis.   

  • Fill-in solo and co-anchor for our weekday and weekend newscasts.

  • Build community relationships, particularly with minority groups struggling with representation. My work was honored with a 2022 Community Leader Award from the Oakland Asian Cultural Center. 

  • Participate in community events surrounding Asian-American, women and domestic violence causes. 

Investigative Reporter                                                                                                        KTVU Fox 2,  Oakland, Calif. 2016-2020

  • Investigative reporter for KTVU Fox 2; produce, write and front all investigations.

  • Prompted policy change at the Solano County Jail by uncovering a deadly medical alert miss.

  • Investigated the state’s overwhelmed disabled care industry and exposed unchecked cases of abuse and neglect. 

  • Investigated claims of Vallejo police misconduct and helped to prompt action by city officials and DOJ intervention. 

Evening Reporter/Investigative Reporter              NBC 7 San Diego, San Diego, Calif.                  2013-2016

  • NBC 7’s weekday nightside reporter, investigative team contributor and food/culture segment host.

  • Exposed a charity’s CEO stealing money for children with cancer. Reports led to her arrest and conviction. 

  • Prompted Assembly Bill 1042 by investigating local deaths involving bar bouncers. 

  • Exposed a jewelry business accused of bribing and defrauding military members. As a result, the US DOJ criminally charged the owner and all stores in Southern California closed. 

  • Spearheaded NBC 7’s “Off the Eaten Path” series celebrating San Diego’s cultural diversity.

  • San Diego 6’s Monday-Friday morning reporter.

  • Fill-in anchor for morning and evening newscasts. 

  • Provided live coverage of major events including Junior Seau’s suicide and Colorado theater shooting.
